“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”                                                                                       John 3:16

The LORD a Fortress in Adversity

In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness …. Bow down Your ear to me ….  Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth …. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities, and have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; … My times are in Your hand; ….. Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; … Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! Blessed be the LORD, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!  For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.
Psalm 31                     This  is Anthony a few weeks before this trip he was attacked in Downtown Minneapolis his artery was severed he told me his story of  a near-death experience I saw in his face that he experienced something that change his life, he loves the Book of Psalms here he is reading the Prayer of the day, Psalm 31, and I can literally see his spirit eating it up. Jesus said “I am the bread of life”  and “The resurrection and the life” Oh give thanks to the LORD! for He is good!  for His mercy endures forever.!

“Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?”     Isaiah 58:7                                                                                                                                                                                     I saw this beautiful building during one of our trips, my heart is always on a house of prayer so naturally I thought  ‘this would make a good house of prayer’  I asked around and found out a man came and built it for ‘the dead’ a funeral home, as long as I can remember we have never had a funeral home on the reservation, I also heard he wasn’t making much money so he put it up for sale, no one on our reservation has one hundred thousand dollars, so it just sat there, one day back in August 2015 I was praying and Jesus said ‘ask for it’ just like that!  I got so excited I began praying daily, for this building then this year the Rosebud Sioux Tribe purchased it, and this winter during the below zero weather it was open for the homeless, Oh Jesus ‘My Cup overflows!!!” Thus says the LORD GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live” this is our our first trip to ‘Cante Waste Oyate Home’ that’s  good heart peoples home in Lakota.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Praise the Lord! O My soul, while I live I will praise the LORD! Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, who made the heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down, The LORD loves the righteous.                                                                     Psalm 146
“For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in (Rosebud) that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”                                                                                                                        Col 2:1-3                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Valencia, also a volunteer who is in charge since it opened is here from 7 am till all the residents are in bed

“Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.”                                                                         Isaiah 46:4

“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”          Col 1:9-10

“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”   Col 1:28-29
 Walk in Unity
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”      Eph 4:4-6

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity …. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”                                                                                                               1 Tim 4:12-16

“So they said,”Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”      Acts 16:31                                                                                                                                                                                                             This is the family shelter across the street from the adult shelter where the Lord had already prepared the hearts of the five family members their to accept the gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”                                                                                                          Matthew 19:14

And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”                                                         Luke 9:46-48

“Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.”                                                                  Psalm 8:2

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”                                                                                                    2 Peter 3:18

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”                                                                                        John 3:3

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”                         1 John 3:1
Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.                                                                                                                          Jeremiah 9:23-24

Jesus’ command is to “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things” Matt 28  He also said “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” John 10:27 I learned long ago all my words are useless the sheep need real food Jesus is the “Bread of Life” its His words they need to hear, I did not come to know all these things on my own it is through my own relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, He taught me these things he has healed me and put new desires in my once ‘heart of stone’ I know He will finish the work He began, God is not a man that He should lie. My desire is that my whole reservation be saved, Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”  my prayer for them is “that He would grant (Rosebud) according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19  “till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ –”  Ephesians 4:13-15                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for (Rosebud) is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.                                                Romans 10:1-2

I am honored to be who God created me to be, a part of the Sicangu Nation my deep love and respect for the people of my reservation has only grown for them, I know in my heart when they read God’s word they will love it, like i do, Sicangu means Burnt Thigh Nation
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior”                                                                                                                                              Isaiah 43:1-3
It is the people of my reservation that taught me as a child reverence for a Holy God, the creator of heaven and earth and everything in it, it was watching them, listening to their very, very humble prayers, we were all one, all in agreement as our elder cried out to the Holy One for mercy, that is just the way it always was, I love my reservation, and I am not ashamed to ask You anyone, reading this, to pray for us.
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
                                                                                                                                          Matthew 22:37-39
                                                                   LOVE NEVER FAILS!”
